How Far will you Run?

Click on link for theme song. At The Cross

Have you ever felt like running away? The phrase "You can run, but you can not hide" means sooner or later life will catch up with you . I heard someone say you can not run from your self. No matter how much we insist on trying to run away we will still be there.

Our abilities are limited. Fear is a barrier that keeps us on the run. We are afraid to look bad in someone elses' eyes and fail to recognize the cost of running is very high. We suffer, feel guilty, and in running we jeopardize the lives of others and that of our purpose for our life.

"The Lord is your Shepard" Psalm 23
I read a story of a real Shepard who had a lamb who kept running from him and was in danger of a nearby wolf. So, the Shepard broke the little lamb's legs and carried him on his shoulders until the lamb's legs were healed, then the little lamb stayed by the Shepard's side and would no longer wander from him. Do your legs feel weary from running? Come and draw closer to The Great Shepard.

These Barriers will keep you on the run.
1. incorrect assumptions will keep us on the run
2. not obeying God the first time delays our blessings
3. Depression gets the best of us when we do not cast our cares on the Lord
4. We delay our progress of God's destiny for us.

Ps 139-7 says "Where can I go from Your Spirit?" "Where can I flee from your presence?" The answer is no where.
"Can anyone hide himself in secret places, that he can not be seen?" Jeremiah 23:23,24

The results are we become weary and feel like giving up on the race of life.

Confusion will make you doubt your destiny. Constant seeking becomes a road block of regret. We can only run as far as our own limits will take us which humanly is not as far as we think. Life will catch up with us. The best path is not running from self or from God, but running into His sheltering arms from the storms of life.

Stop! caring the burdens, Drop! the burdens, and Roll! your burdens over to the Lord. He will always lead you in the best path to take , not ever far from Him and His best for your life.

Is it Right for US?

Click on link for theme song. Slow Fade

We must know what is acceptable in order to protect our hearts and minds. Our minds and hearts can be impacted by light or darkness in today's culture. There is a constant battle that influences the way we think and feel. Only when we know the different aspects of our mental and emotional condition will we be able to win the battle. Without God's help no one will be able on their own to resist the attack. Luke 22:31-32, The Lord told Peter that prayer was needed in order for his faith not to fail. One of our responsibilities is to be careful how our minds and hearts are being influenced. This takes a commitment on our part.

Our barrier breaker is to resist temptation and draw closer to God through prayer. We must stand strong in the areas where God shows us we are weak. We can choose to do the right thing by surrendering our whole life to God. Do not be entrapped in a destructive behavior that will send you spiraling out of control and result in loss of hope. Here are some Barrier Breakers to help you overcome your situation.

1. Resist by guarding what you see. "The eyes are the windows of our soul". The enemy of our soul blinds us.
2. Listen to the small still voice. Do not allow the noise of the world to drown it out.
3. Ask God for wisdom. Ask others that have overcome similar situations.
4. Turn away; run from wrong influences. Jeremiah 36:3
5. We are in a spiritual warfare. Recognize it for what it is. Eph 6:12
6. Prayer is a powerful weapon that destroys the negative strongholds on our minds.
7. Keep up the faith. Psalms 107:20-22

Do not be discouraged, but rather be a "prisoner of HOPE". Instead of being chained to fear, and hopelessness let Hope feed your mind and heart. Look in God's word for the answer to any question and doubt you are facing.

Phil 4:8 talks about the things we are to think about. Remember there is nothing to hard for God. Jerm. 32:17. Call upon His name that is above all names, He will answer you. May you have courage to confront your problems and put on the mind of Christ. Resist the attacks against your mind and heart. Romans 12:1-2.

Is there any kind of pollution in your heart and mind? Turn away from it, do not be drawn into it-refuse to give in to it. Change the channel in your mind and heart. You will find much better reception in God's presence.

Be careful eyes what you see
Ask "is this good or bad for me"?
Be careful ears what you hear, does it cause fear?
Be careful hands what you touch, is the price to pay to much?
Be careful feet where you go, Jesus leads the way for you to know.
Be careful what you think and be careful heart what you feel
Do not say I am not hurting anyone, What's the big deal?

Is it Right In His sight?

Breaking the Barrier of Mistakes

Click on link for theme song. Praise You in the Storm

Mistakes are opportunities to learn. Mistakes help keep us from repeating wrong actions. Mistakes are often times a part of the price we pay for not seeking direction. These missteps are to be learned from and help us graduate to the next level.

We all make mistakes. Are they stumbling blocks or are you using them as stepping stones? God's answer is; take it to Him in prayer and ask for wisdom not to repeat them. No need to to beat yourself over the head with guilt. Instead of complaining view the mistake from God's perspective and allow Him the opportunity to change what needs to be changed and move on.

The fact that God can make a way where there seems to be no way makes all the difference. Once you've made a mistake and are paying the price, remember you are not alone because God is right there with you no matter how big the mistake. If you learn from a defeat, you have not really lost" (Zig Ziglar). Wait on the Lord, He will rescue you. Proverbs 20:22 Holman CSB.

A positive attitude will give you the hope you need to tackle your barrier of mistakes. Ps. 31:24 Negative thoughts will only give you a negative response. Do not become bitter and blame God or others for mistakes. Do not get angry and depressed while learning the lesson God intends for you. These lessons can drive you away from God if pride gets in the way. Instead, they are meant to bring us closer to Him.

Be of good courage and place your trust in God and not in your mistakes. Lean not to your own understanding. Instead, trust God to be your mistake Barrier Breaker.

Why is waiting so Hard?

Click on link for theme song. Wait Upon the Lord

We all have choices and waiting is not necessarily anyone's favorite. Why is that? Psalms 37:7 tells us to wait patiently for God. We get stuck on how long things take. "Are we there yet"? Waiting for God is as difficult as you make it out to be. Patience should be our goal. We want what we want, and we want it NOW! I heard about these two men who had purchased a gold mine near Alaska. They had been told there was gold to be found in this particular place. The men began to dig and dig they did. Eventually both became impatient. Then both made the choice to stop digging any further and sold the mine. A short time later, the person who bought the mine dug only two feet more and HIT GOLD; one of the biggest in that area. Just two feet more and the original owners would have struck gold had they not been so impatient. They were not willing to wait. God instructs us to be patient in all things. We are to be patient with our family, friends and with our selves. Most important, we must be willing to wait on God to unfold His best plans for our life. The barrier is that we lack faith. Faith is the evidence of what we can not see yet we hope for it to happen. Waiting is the hardest when we expect it to happen in a split second. It takes wisdom to break through this barrier. "Wisdom always waits for the right time to act, while emotion always pushes for action right now". says Joyce Meyers. When things are handled in an emotional speed mode there is going to be a collision of some kind. Life has stop lights and yield signs along the way for our protection and that of others. Slow down, take a deep breath, and keeping digging. Today maybe your day to Strike gold in the form of PATIENCE!

Poetry Corner

Yesterday is no longer here no need to fear
Today, I can discover perhaps a better way.
Tomorrow can wait God is never in a hurry nor Late.
My expectation helps draw Him closer to my goal and aspiration.
Trust in Him, He is the beginning and end.
Trust in His time, allow Him to speak peace to your mind.
Trusting in His wisdom and goodness is How, not our demand NOW!

Strength
There are moments I feel so weak
Who then shall I seek?
The Lord of Lords, God most high
The ultimate comforter hears my cries
When I feel myself sinking low
I need to pray and battle my demons
In His name they must go!
I need not worry for Christ has given me Liberty!
Jesus Christ is all I need
It is through Him I claim victory!
Prayer is my Faith seed.

Where The Spirit of The Lord is there is LIBERTY!

Click on link for theme song. I AM Free

God wants us to know who we are in Him. He wants us to live in The Freedom He has made for us.
Freedom creates a wholeness for those who place their trust in Him. Christ is ready for those who truly want to be set free; to help us live out this liberty through His Spirit in us. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, "Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." The Spirit sets us free from things that bind us, blind us, hold us back and keep us from becoming all we were created to be.
We must in the will of the Lord in order for the barrier to be broken. This is a simple truth. True Freedom does not happen apart from His Presence in your life.
Ask your self, are you living your life for you or for His glory? No one can force freedom on you.
Some who have come out of bondage find themselves back in the same life style because they do not know any other way. Bad habits are hard to break. Our hearts must be open. We must allow The Spirit to come in and clean house so to speak. The kind of freedom and liberty Jesus freely gives breaks any barrier that keeps us from living a transformed life. He free us from the slavery of sin. He wants us to be free so we can live a life for His Glory! Romans 6:18. Barriers are anything against His will for our life such as a wrong mind-set, negative attitude, ungodly influence and prideful stubbornness that says, "I'll do it my way". A blessed life is one that is lived God's way- where the Spirit of truth can flow freely. Anything that becomes more important than God's will, becomes a false idol. Allow Him to Free your Spirit to walk in obedience to His will and His Laws. Deliverance and restoration are possible only through the Spirit of the Lord. Faith, humility and praise are the means by which the Spirit of the Lord will make you whole, transform you and deliver you. There will you find The Liberty of the Lord and it will set you free!

Focus on Faith Not Fear

Click on link for blog song. Because He Lives

Fear is obstacle that stands between us and our goals. Fear can paralyze our lives. When waiting for a breakthrough the bravest of hearts can feel faint. Our fear can become a barrier that stops our faith from being deeply rooted. The Bible says, we are to be like trees that are planted by the rivers of water where we shall not be moved . Only by staying focused on God's goodness will you overcome the barrier of fear. Trusting God means looking beyond what we can see to what God sees. The difference between reaching our goal and breaking the fear barrier is asking "is the Lord with you?" He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us.

POETRY CORNER

Waiting On Faith by Blog Author

Waiting is good, not to be misunderstood.
We delay our own healing, because of what we are feeling.
We do not rest in His arms, Where we are safe from all harms.
Come to the only One, God's true light, Jesus Christ His Son.
For whom the Son has set free is free indeed,
He promises to provide for our every need.
Do not walk away because you do not see His perfect plan,
Instead take a hold of His nail scared Hand.
He alone is in Control, The keeper of our Soul.

FAITH BUILDERS, FEAR BREAKERS

Fear says, you can not
Faith says, you can do all things in Christ who strengthens you.
Fear says, you'll never make it.
Faith says, God is with you until the end and He will complete your journey.
Fear says, You must be good enough to receive from God
Faith says, All have come short of His glory, yet while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
Fear says, you will never get over the past
Faith says, Forgetting those things that are behind you and pressing for the goal before you.

For God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2Timothy 1:7). Stay Focused on Faith and Fear not for God is with you.

His way The Best Way

Click on blog title for song.

Life is hard, but God is good! I insisted that I could no longer wait. My response was "This is taking to Long"! Why me Lord? I pray, I serve you. I mean well, I , I , I,.... " Have you ever felt stuck along the road of Life? Have you ever felt that you're just getting no where fast? How about when every one tells you,"Get over it!". Move on and "Time will heal it all", so easy for them to say, right?
In reality life is a process. It does take time, as a birth takes nine months for development or the health of the child will be jeopardized. In reality there are certain waiting times in life. Waiting for the answer is vital to our growth. Pain is one of the biggest struggles to understand. Most are only seeking relief . "If all struggles and sufferings were eliminated the Spirit would no more reach maturity than would the child" according to Elisabeth Elliot. Putting into practice what we learn from life's lessons is not always that easy; it is hard. Our limited understanding and unwillingness to wait are two of the biggest barriers. When the way before you is unclear and requires (disclipline). Oh, no there is that word that children find difficult to understand. Even for adults this word can be just as difficult to deal with. A loving parent will discipline his child because all you want is the best for them. Of course discipline reguires handling the matter with firm but loving care. However some parents fear the response from that child, "I hate you!" or "You do not love me!". Never-the-less the truth is you as a parent want what is best for your child. This is what is important. No matter if it seems unfair or unjust, as loving parents we should not give in nor give up hope that some how this is the best thing to do. Again, it is not easy but is in fact one of the hardest things a parent has to do is say "No". There comes a time where there is a place and time where we must take a stand and trust in God's perfect plan. That is His desire for his children that it's not for harm, but for giving hope and a future for a life totally dependent on Him alone. If you are in a place where it feels it is not fair and waiting is not an option, consider this barrier breaker; No matter where you are "He is there with you, and in His perfect timing all things will He work for good" Psalms 139. Christ was willing to hang on a cross until His finished work was completed for us and in us. Was it all worth the waiting? Yes, because for those who wait and put their hope in Him will not be disappointed no matter how long it takes. Take hold of His hand and you will not have to wait alone.
