How Far will you Run?

Click on link for theme song. At The Cross

Have you ever felt like running away? The phrase "You can run, but you can not hide" means sooner or later life will catch up with you . I heard someone say you can not run from your self. No matter how much we insist on trying to run away we will still be there.

Our abilities are limited. Fear is a barrier that keeps us on the run. We are afraid to look bad in someone elses' eyes and fail to recognize the cost of running is very high. We suffer, feel guilty, and in running we jeopardize the lives of others and that of our purpose for our life.

"The Lord is your Shepard" Psalm 23
I read a story of a real Shepard who had a lamb who kept running from him and was in danger of a nearby wolf. So, the Shepard broke the little lamb's legs and carried him on his shoulders until the lamb's legs were healed, then the little lamb stayed by the Shepard's side and would no longer wander from him. Do your legs feel weary from running? Come and draw closer to The Great Shepard.

These Barriers will keep you on the run.
1. incorrect assumptions will keep us on the run
2. not obeying God the first time delays our blessings
3. Depression gets the best of us when we do not cast our cares on the Lord
4. We delay our progress of God's destiny for us.

Ps 139-7 says "Where can I go from Your Spirit?" "Where can I flee from your presence?" The answer is no where.
"Can anyone hide himself in secret places, that he can not be seen?" Jeremiah 23:23,24

The results are we become weary and feel like giving up on the race of life.

Confusion will make you doubt your destiny. Constant seeking becomes a road block of regret. We can only run as far as our own limits will take us which humanly is not as far as we think. Life will catch up with us. The best path is not running from self or from God, but running into His sheltering arms from the storms of life.

Stop! caring the burdens, Drop! the burdens, and Roll! your burdens over to the Lord. He will always lead you in the best path to take , not ever far from Him and His best for your life.
